Two pieces on hold, One left. Three Flower Chairs by Pierre Paulin. Not many of these chairs survived and therefore this pair are rare museum quality pieces in original condition with a lovely old patina Marked with manufacturer stamp under the base Beautiful design and a rare set of chairs. The chairs show traces of wear like loss of paint, stains scratches and some cracks. All chairs have cracks in the foot and one also has a crack in the seat. These cracks are caused by the age and process of drying out of the material, which make the chairs vulnerable. All is shown on the pictures. The chairs have a registration number: Nr 0192373 and are made by Boro 8810 in Belgium One of the most beautiful organic chairs in ABS plastic by French designer Pierre Paulin and produced by Boro Belgium A major exhibition on the works of Pierre Paulin was held last year at the Centre Pompidou in Paris Originally made as outdoor furniture in 1972 this 8810 model flower chair is now a very rare and sought after iconic piece of plastic design history Due to the oil crisis that hit Europe in the early 1970s the prices to produce plastics became too expensive and the mass production of injected moulded plastic designs got fewer or even stopped
