Characteristic oak Danish 1950s dining chair in very good condition with very nice patina. In 1938, Arne Hovmand-Olsen finished his apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker at P. Olsen Sibast. As he did not only want to build furniture, but design it, her enrolled at a technical school in Aarhus. After his graduation, Hovmand-Olsen opened his own studio and designed furniture for several Danish furniture makers. His works are often characterized by simplicity and delicacy, as this set of two in oak. This lost its lacquer, but gained character.

Both are beautiful with some traces of wear. Priced per piece.
