Ettore Sottsass Born in Innsbruck, Ettore Sottsass studied architecture at the Polytechnic of Turin from 1935 to 1939. In 1945, he worked for the Giuseppe Pagano group of architects, before setting up his own office, The Studio, Milan, in 1947. From 1957, he worked as a design consultant to Olivetti. In 1966, he worked in the New York office of George Nelson. During the 1960s, he produced several pieces of Anti-Design furniture that were manufactured by Poltronova. In the 1970s, he became a member of Global Tools and in 1979, became involved with Studio Alchimia. In 1980, he co-founded Sottsass Associati with Aldo Cibic, Marco Zanini and Mattheo Thun. A year later, he established Memphis, a principle executant of post-modernism in the decorative arts. In 1986, he set up the publicity agency, Italiana di Communcazione.

Over almost 30 years BeBoB is an organization, founded as a foundation out of caring about the 20th century design in combination with recycling. BeBoB follows minimum allowed list prices or less in new classics and collects over the years good industrial design objects as well as collectors items, which got sold for fair prices. BeBoB works as green as possible,brings a minimum of 10% of the profit to charity and is not focused on maximum profit money-wise and for that a good partner to deal with.
