Marc Newson was born in 1962 in Sydney, Australia. As a child, he traveled through Europe and Asia, after which he studied jewelry and sculpture at the College of Art in Sydney. He began experimenting with furniture during his studies and graduated in 1984. In 1986, he started his own studio, Pod Design, where he primarily made furniture and clocks. In 1987, Newson met the owner of Idee, Teruo Kurosaki, who began producing his designs. Newson lived and worked in Tokyo from 1987 to 1991. In 1991, Newson opened his own studio in Paris, and in 1997, in London. He currently teaches design at his former school, the College of Arts in Sydney. Throughout his career, Newson has won numerous awards and published two books and a DVD. He has created numerous works for Flos, Cappellini, Moroso, Magis, and B&B Italia. He has designed a concept car for Ford, cookware for Tefal, shoes for Nike, clothing for G-Star, and even the interior of a private jet. Newson’s work has been exhibited in Tokyo, Milan, Paris, Sydney, and Frankfurt.

BeBoB was founded with a focus on recycling and started as a foundation, not profit-based.
For almost 40 years, it has specialised in collecting and selling midcentury design, focussing on the right matches more than how to get the best profit.
BeBoB charges reasonable prices for vintage and collector’s items.

Vintage Prices are approximately 35% to 65% of the new-to-order price, if items are still new in production. If not anymore in production they become collectibles.
Collectibles are also the original pieces from the design period of the items, which are still in production and are more expensive, but often a good investment out of scarcity.
